Finest entry-level deck on the market. First of most, it’s a Pioneer, which automatically means 1. it sounds a lot better than anyone else’s (Kenwood, Alpine, and especially Sony and Clarion; only JVC comes close), 2. it may play VIRTUALLY ANY CD, even some sloppily burnt off-brand rewritable that has been through nuclear bombings, and 3. it’ll possibly last permanently (I have owned several Pioneer decks since 2001 with not just one problem).

Even with this bottom-end stripper design you nonetheless get all of the basics, unlike in years past: MP3 COMPACT DISK playback, a 3-way equalizer, and a great Aux jack port for transportable players. As an additional benefit, the DEH-1300MP escapes the usual Pioneer disadvantage of frustrating ergonomics: the time and display buttons are usually better placed this year, and it’s the only model inside the 2011 selection whose on/off switch may be the volume knob instead of some tiny-ass hidden button.

From what I can tell, the products missing from Pioneer’s higher-end designs is:
-A 24-bit digital-to-analog converter, whatever that is (this one’s is actually 12-bit)
-RDS for displaying song/artist details when playing FM
-A front USB jack port (great for charging your Ipod, and directly controlling iPods)
-A 3. 5mm jack inside the back (if you wish to buy a great adapter to keep your controls controls still living)
-A second pair of preouts
-Custom color display
-HD and/or satellite tv radio
-Extra sound tricks like a 6-band equalizer and high-pass filtration
-Bluetooth
I file everything that in the nice-but-not-necessary group.

For the record, the appear isn’t quite as clean as upon Pioneer’s greater models… somehow, that final 10% is actually missing. I’m uncertain which design marks the purpose of enhancement (some units inside the test room weren’t functioning that evening), but in any event I’m not really docking any stars cuz the $70 MSRP is so modest.

Basically, this terrace has solid sound, a honest price, all important features, and simply no real imperfections. Hook it up to a quartet associated with Infinity speakers and you have got the greatest car stereo on the market.
